Atelier Maarten Kolk & Guus Kusters is gevestigd in het Klokgebouw te Eindhoven. Samen werken we aan zowel toegepast als autonoom werk. Hierbij vormen leven met natuur, historie, kleur en omgeving de basis. We denken niet vanuit de industrie of de consument in ons werk, maar proberen te materialiseren of te vertellen over de dingen die we het liefst om ons heen hebben of ons fascineren.

Productiemethoden zijn voor ons een belangrijk hulpmiddel binnen het ontwerpproces. Het snappen van de vervaardiging van het eindproduct geeft ons de mogelijkheid tot vernieuwing en de beste vertaling van het idee.

Naast werk in opdracht voor opdrachtgevers als Zuiderzeemuseum, Audax Textielmuseum en Provincie Zeeland maken we tevens werk op eigen initiatief. Dit is onder andere tentoongesteld of verkocht bij Sotheby’s Londen, museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, veilinghuis Pierre Bergé & Associés Brussel en NAI Maastricht.

Atelier Maarten Kolk & Guus Kusters is based in Klokgebouw, Eindhoven, The Netherlands. Together we do practical projects, as well as autonomous work. Living with nature, history, colour and environment are the foundation of our work. We don’t design specifically for the industry or the consumer, but try to materialize or tell about the things we’d like to have around us or that fascinate us.

The process of manufacture is an important tool in our design process. To understand how the end product is made gives us the opportunity to translate the idea in the best way and to be innovative.

Next to assigned projects for clients as Zuiderzeemuseum, Audax Textile Museum and the Province of Zeeland we also initiate projects ourselves. This work is being exhibited or sold at Sotheby’s Londen, museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, Pierre Bergé & Associés Brussels and NAI Maastricht.
